Welcome, weirdos to the BrittNic Creations’ Horror Roundup! Each week I’ll be bringing you some news and products from the horror realm. The topics could include new clips from an upcoming horror film, gothic artwork, unique merchandise, and much more! There’s a mixture of horror goodies for everyone in the weekly Horror Roundup. This will always be a random post. I’d like to think that life and horror aren’t any fun without some absurdity included in them. Now, let’s get to the fun part!

‘Cobweb’ Trailer Unleashes Horrific Secrets
Creepy parents, weird bedrooms, and gaslighting add up to a unique and insane film to include in this week’s Horror Roundup. Cobweb is directed by Samuel Bodin and written by Chris Thomas Devlin. The film from Lionsgate arrives at theaters on July 21, 2023.
Eight-year-old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr) could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that? Cobweb also stars Woody Norman and Cleopatra Coleman.
Fede Alvarez’s ‘Alien’ Film Receives Premiere Date
More from the Alien franchise is some fantastic Horror Roundup news. What makes everything better is an update on filming and a premiere date from Fede Alvarez. We had gotten a glimpse at the set when Alvarez had posted on Twitter a picture for Alien Day on April 26th. The excitement grew, but not much else was updated until now. We’ve now officially got a premiere date for August 16, 2024. No one can hear you scream when the movies go to space next summer!

Halloween II: The Game
The nightmare isn’t over with Halloween II: The Game! The exclusive first edition of Fright-Rags and Stop the Killer’s latest board game is available to pre-order on Kickstarter.
Michael Myers is back in the retro-style tabletop game based on the classic slasher sequel. Play as Dr. Loomis, Jimmy, Sheriff Brackett, Nurse Karen, and more characters from the film as you try to stop The Shape from reaching Haddonfield Memorial Hospital and killing Laurie Strode.
Made for 1-4 players, Halloween II: The Game features a double-sided board that allows Michael to stalk and kill with three levels of difficulty. Collect weapons, face obstacles, set up roadblocks, draw unpredictable cards, answer trivia questions, and flick the retro spinner to determine your fate.
The Kickstarter-exclusive edition includes two expansion packs with eight additional player pieces (including Laurie Strode, Budd, Marion Chambers, and others), 10 more game cards, and a trivia setback round. A variety of other upgrades will be unlocked if stretch goals are met.
Halloween II: The Game’s Kickstarter runs until July 13. Starting at $59, fulfillment is projected to begin in December.
‘Bad Girl Boogey’ Queer Slasher Arrives in July
Dark Star Pictures will release Alice Maio Mackay’s acclaimed slasher film Bad Girl Boogey this summer.
This Horror Roundup choice, which received a positive reception at its premiere at Popcorn Frights Film Festival followed by a healthy festival run including Monster Fest and Salem Horror Film Festival, will release on digital platforms July 4 and DVD release on July 11. Select theaters will also screen the film from July 7.
Bad Girl Boogey follows Angel whose mother was brutally murdered one Halloween night, when blood was shed by a deranged killer wearing a parasitic mask cursed with black magic and bigotry. Sixteen years later, when Angel’s best friend is slaughtered by a killer with the same mask, they must overcome their personal struggles, fight their fear, and find the masked killer before he, or it, slaughters everyone they hold dear.
Directed, Produced, and Co-Written with Ben Pahl Robinson – by then seventeen year old trans filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay, Bad Girl Boogey ushers in an inclusive slasher film proudly representing the queer community and loudly announcing an exciting new directorial voice. The cast includes Lisa Fanto (‘Love, Guns & Level Ups’), Iris Mcerlean, Chris Asimos, Toshiro Glenn, Lewi Dawson, Kate Bonney with a featured voiceover cameo from horror icon Bill Mosley (‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2’, ‘The Devil’s Rejects’).
