Welcome, weirdos to the BrittNic Creations’ Horror Roundup! At the end of each month, I’ll be bringing you some news and products from the horror realm. The topics could include new clips from an upcoming horror film*, gothic artwork, indie games, and much more! There’s a mixture of horror goodies for everyone in the Horror Roundup. This will always be a random post. I’d like to think that life and horror aren’t any fun without some absurdity included in them. Now, let’s get to the fun part!

Four new posters and a trailer give us a glimpse at the cryptic horror in Elevation Pictures and Neon’s LonglegsNicolas Cage leads this film which follows FBI Agent Lee Harker, assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes unexpected turns, revealing evidence of the occult. Longlegs is written and directed by Oz Perkins (son of the iconic Anthony Perkins from Psycho). His recent work has slowly brought in a unique perspective to the horror genre with his writing featured in titles such as The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives in The House.

Longlegs includes Alicia Witt (Alice, Star Girl) and Maika Monroe (It Follows). The film arrives in theaters on July 12, 2024. The multiple teasers on social media and these recent posters heighten the excitement for this addition to the horror films of 2024. I love a creepy and mysterious story waiting to be unveiled, so it only made sense to mention this one in the first horror roundup of the year.
